Bio: Dr. Samin K. Sharma, MD, is a renowned interventional cardiology expert known for performing high-risk complex coronary interventions (more than 1,500 interventions per year) with an extremely high success rate (greater than 99%) and an extremely low major complication rate (less than 0.2%).
He has received the prestigious two-star designation from the New York State Department of Health numerous times, as well as the Governor’s Award of Excellence in Medicine in 1996. Dr. Sharma served on New York State’s Cardiac Advisory Board from 2004 to 2016. Under his leadership, The Mount Sinai Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory has become one of the safest and busiest centers in New York, providing advanced cardiac and interventional care for patients with both simple and complex conditions.
Dr. Sharma specializes in the nonsurgical treatment of mitral and aortic valve disease, including procedures such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR) and MitraClip™ (TEER). Known as the “master of the Rotablator,” he is frequently featured on national and local media, including CBS and TV Asia, and has appeared in publications such as Newsday, Newsweek, The New York Times, The New York Post, Forbes, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Daily News, The Washington Post, New York Magazine, India Abroad, and India Today.
Among his numerous awards, Dr. Sharma has been recognized as:

- 2018 Chairman, Board of Trustees, Association of Indians in America (AIA)
- 2015 Honorary Master of Science PhD by Rajasthan University, Jaipur, India

- 2007 Jacobi Medallion Award by The Mount Sinai Hospital
- 2000 Simon Deck Award for Outstanding Teacher of the Year
Dr. Sharma has authored over 360 papers and 16 book chapters on coronary interventions, structural heart disease, and the safety of percutaneous interventions. As a philanthropist, he built a 250-bed heart hospital (EHCC) in Jaipur, India, which provides high-quality care to all patients, regardless of financial or social status. The Mount Sinai Hospital Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory is named in his honor as the Dr. Samin K. Sharma Family Foundation Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.
Dr. Sharma also hosts a monthly webcast series, CCC Live Cases (www.ccclivecases.org), which reaches over 25,000 viewers each month in 179 countries. He is dedicated to teaching and improving patient outcomes through the annual Complex Coronary Cases (CCC) Symposium and other significant scientific events, including the Top Ten Topics in Clinical Cardiology Course and the NY Transcatheter Valves Symposium.

Devi Majeske
Indian Classical Sitarist & Vocalist
Devi Majeske is a classical sitarist under Abhik Mukherjee of the Imdadkhani Gharana, a lineage celebrated for its lyrical phrasing and rhythmic complexity. She also studies Hindustani vocal music with Namaami Karmakar and Sanjoy Banerjee of the Kirana Gharana. In addition, Devi writes, sings, and plays guitar in her band, Air Devi.

Dhruvin Shah
Tabla Player & Architect
Tabla player Dhruvin Shah studied Hindustani Vocal from Pt. Vinayak Vora and Tulika Ghosh and studied tabla from Vijay Vyas. Dhruvin graduated from Yale University and is an architect by day at a firm in Manhattan.
